Republic of Korea has launched 62 satellites till end of 2023.


1. Space Transportation System
South Korea's first launch vehicle KSLV-1 (NARO-1)

In 2009 Aug., South Korea launched its first launch vehicle KSLV-1 from NARO Space Center, but it failed to separate half of faring. In June 2010, second KSLV-1 launch failed agein.But, On 30 January 2013, it was sucssessfully launched at last.

2. Domestic Telecommunications satellites
Korean telecommunications satellite "Koreasat" (1995-041A)

 Koreasat is a series of Korean Communications satellites.
 Korean Telecom (KT) operates these satellites.

3. Engineering Test Satellite


Korean Engineering Test Satellite "KITSAT-A" (1992-052B)
 In 1992, Republic of Korea launched its first satellite KITSAT-A by piggy-back of Ariane 42P launch vehicle. UK's Surrey University assisted to manufacture Korean first satellite.
This satellite has another name in Korian, "Ulybyol(Our Star)"
